Transmission Repair in Cincinnati, OH
Slipping, flaring, banging into gear or a clutch that’s gone. From a fluid service to a full transmission swap.
It usually tells you first.
When a transmission starts going, the car usually tells you: revs that climb without the car picking up speed, a hard bang into gear, a pause before it engages in drive, or a burning smell after a drive. The photos on this page are transmissions coming out of customer vehicles in our shop, on the jack and lowered by hand.
We start by finding out what’s actually wrong. Sometimes it’s fluid, a leak or a sensor; sometimes the unit is done and needs to be replaced. Either way, you get a straight answer about what it needs and what it will take.

Will a fluid change fix my transmission?
Sometimes, if the fluid is low or worn out and nothing is damaged yet. If it’s already slipping, old fluid is usually a symptom, not the cause. We check the fluid and how it shifts first.
Do you do clutch jobs?
Yes. Clutch kits and flywheels, including dual-mass flywheels like the one in the photos on this page.
Do you work on four-wheel-drive trucks and SUVs?
Yes. The SUV in our photos had its transmission and transfer case come out together.
What should I watch for before a transmission fails?
Slipping, harsh or late shifts, a delay into gear, leaks and burning smells. Catching it early can mean a smaller repair.
